Hi, I'm Jill Emanuel
I'm a Wealth Strategy Coach who has spent nearly a decade helping hundreds of clients navigate everything from debt and career transitions to investing, real estate, business ownership, and long-term wealth building.
I grew up in a middle-class Midwest family where money wasn't talked about. I was the first in my family to earn a doctorate, and I assumed that meant I'd know what to do with a good income. I didn't. Many of my clients are in the same spot.
But I didn't start here. I earned my Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2006 and spent 11 years as a clinical pharmacist. I spent 9 years in college earning my degree, but I never learned anything about what to do with money as I started to earn it. It felt like the biggest gap in my education.
Early in our marriage, my husband Matt and I went through an incredibly challenging financial period that put us on the verge of bankruptcy. We hired a financial coach of our own and it completely turned things around for us. Once I learned more about money, my entire life began to change. Things I had once only dreamed of began to become reality. We actually COULD start investing. We could pay cash for family vacations. We didn't have to stress when the car broke down. I didn't worry about bills, and when we wanted to go out with friends it didn't have to land on a credit card to figure out later.
We were able to take advantage of financial opportunities when we saw them. We put ourselves in a position to start investing in real estate by diving into learning more about it, and when the right opportunity presented itself it was an easy "yes." What we experienced... the total turnaround and complete change of trajectory in our lives because we learned a better way to manage our money and the behaviors and habits to support it... has completely changed our lives and given us options we didn't have a decade ago. That is why I left pharmacy and why I know this is the work I am meant to be doing.
My Story
My husband Matt and I started our marriage in debt, financially stressed, and working long hours just to cover the bills. We wondered how we would ever get ahead. That changed when I hired a financial coach of my own and learned a different way to approach money.
That decision reshaped what was possible for us. We paid off our debt, started investing consistently into our retirement accounts, and began building a real estate portfolio. We launched several businesses that we own and manage together. And we brought in the guidance and support of other professionals to make sure we're maximizing every lever; from investments to tax strategy and beyond.
In 2017, I made the leap from clinical pharmacy to full-time financial coaching. It has been the most fulfilling work of my life. I get to help people transform their relationship with money in the same way Matt and I did over a decade ago.
Professional Background
Before launching my own practice, I spent 8 years with Fiscal Fitness PHX, a boutique financial coaching firm in Phoenix, AZ. During that time I also served as a coach and mentor for the Financial Coach Academy, helping train the next generation of financial coaches.
I co-created the Financial Coaching Toolkit, a resource designed to help coaches serve their clients more effectively. I also co-founded the Inspired Grace Retreat, an intimate, week-long in-person experience where we worked 1:1 with a small group of coaches each year. I've been a guest host on both the Financial Coach Academy Podcast and the Fiscal Fitness Podcast.
I hold a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed my undergraduate work at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My clinical background gave me a foundation in research, critical thinking, and working closely with people during high-stakes moments in their lives. Those skills translate directly into the coaching work I do today.
My Approach
I believe that building wealth is not just about the numbers. It's about understanding your relationship with money, creating systems that support your real life, and making decisions from a place of clarity rather than stress.
My coaching is rooted in education, strategy, and genuine partnership. I don't tell you what to do with your money. Instead, I help you develop the knowledge, confidence, and tools to make informed decisions that align with your values and goals.
Every client's situation is different. That's why I take a personalized approach; starting with a strong financial foundation and then layering on wealth-building strategies that make sense for where you are and where you want to go.
Beyond the Numbers
Outside of work, I'm married to my husband Matt of 18 years, and we have two teenage boys who keep life full and loud in the best way.
I love training in the gym and competing in powerlifting, spending time outdoors here in Arizona, and reading anything that helps me grow; whether that's books on money, psychology, or personal development. I'm always up for traveling to explore new places or visit family back home in the Midwest.
